The term ''generation'' is looking like a failed prophecy. There is NO POSSIBLE way EVER, but to try to cover it up and explain their way out of it by overlapping plus overlapping.

Admission of ''failed'' doctrine would no doubt open the ''floodgates'' of doubters and massive fallout. They're doing all they can to ramp-up explanations of their opinions and as long as the rank and file believe it's the ''Truth'', they buy it!!!!!

Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?

i wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.

could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?

perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

I remember at the Regional Convention July of 1914 outside the gate of the arena in the morning. Beautiful summer day, few clouds. There were two older men talking emphatically about how ''1914 is 100 years ago now. IT IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS TO PASS BY, OOOOOOH, JUST BEYOND ANY REALM OF POSSIBILITY'''!!! They were gesturing away, waving their hand dismissing any possibility at all!!! About it. Well!! Maybe if I could call up Doc Emmet Brown, I would just like to see July 2114, for curiosity sake!! LOL. Maybe surprised.!!

Eagerly anticipating the death of billions!

surely someone who eagerly looks forward to the death of billions of people (including babies and children) is not emotionally healthy?.

Maybe eventually they will drop that 144,000 number as being ''literal'', but being figurative. Or just eventually stop ''talking'' about the 144,000 all together, should there be another spike or two in the ''memorial partakers'' like there was in the last several years.

i know it's dumb to think it would make sense.

i've been telling myself to lay low because everytime i ask a question now my husband says i have a negative attitude and i sound like an apostate.
